Approach
How a project runs
Slowly and specifically. The order below is the whole method — plan before selection, selection before ordering, and a schedule honest enough that the install is uneventful.
The stages
01
Brief
The rooms, the stage the project is at, and anything already fixed — a date, a builder, pieces that are staying.
02
Plan
Layouts and furniture plans first. Nothing gets selected until the room works at plan level.
03
Selections
Finishes, fabrics and FF&E curated as one palette, then sampled and specified room by room.
04
Schedule
Everything on one schedule with lead times against it, so ordering happens in the sequence the site can actually build.
05
Install
Deliveries sequenced, damages and snags chased, then a final styling pass once the room is standing.
What holds throughout
- Restraint
- Fewer pieces, chosen properly. A room reads calm when nothing in it is fighting for attention.
- Material
- Surfaces that record time instead of resisting it, sampled in the room's own light before anything is ordered.
- Follow-through
- Drawings, schedules, deliveries and snag lists. A design is only as good as the install that lands it.
